Who we are
Rheumis provides assessment and treatment for muscle, joint, and long‑term pain conditions, including rheumatological problems such as ongoing joint pain, stiffness, and reduced movement. Treatments may include detailed clinical assessment, use of imaging, joint injections, independent prescribing, care of minor low‑risk illnesses where appropriate, and acupuncture, always focusing on what is safest and most suitable for each individual.
Rheumis is led by an Advanced Clinical Practitioner Physiotherapist with over 15 years of NHS experience. The service brings together advanced physiotherapy skills, experience in rheumatology‑related joint and muscle problems, while looking at you as a person as a whole.
Every treatment is offered only after a thorough assessment, with clear discussion about benefits, risks, and alternative options, so you can make an informed decision about your care. If your condition needs medical input beyond this service, you will be supported with timely referral to a hospital specialist, or urgent services.
